How often should I get a Look Laser facial?
Once you have achieved your personal skin goals like clearing acne, sun damage or scarring, we do recommend a fortnightly to monthly Laser Facial. On average, The Look by Louise clients receive 1-3 facials per month.
Does it hurt?
No not at all. You’ll feel a mild tingling sensation that is noticeable but not painful. The HydraFacial® combined is completely painless and nothing but relaxing yet invigorating.
Are there any risks or side effects?
The most common side effects of laser facials can be erythema, including mild skin irritation, temporary discomfort such as redness and swelling. These will settle within 24 – 48 hours after treatment.
In rare cases there can be changes of pigment. It can darken or lighten the affected skin, usually temporarily.
Please note a patch test is required on the treatment area at least 48 hours prior to any treatment given.
Is there any aftercare?
No make up to be applied for at least 24 hours after treatment. Try to avoid extreme heat/cold. Following this sun exposure, sun beds or saunas should be avoided for at least 7 days after treatment.
How will I know I'm not allergic?
We will carry out a small, painless patch test, usually on the treatment area at least 48 hours prior to procedure.
You will then be closely monitored to check for any signs of allergies. If there are no signs of allergy we can then safely proceed with treatment.
Please note patch tests must be carried out before any laser facials can be booked.
